The Process
Do you ever feel like you’re out there in time waiting for something to happen? Sometimes not quite sure of what you’re even waiting for or why you are waiting. We understand time is simply a gap between two appointments, what we do in this gap is called “The Process”. The length of the gap is based according to the purpose of the second appointment.

The danger lies in us not understanding the process that has to take place in this gap. By not having understanding, we could end up aborting the scheduled appointment God has for us. (Jeremiah 29:11, Eph.1:11, 2:10) It’s commonly known that seeds take different amounts of time to break through the soil with their first shoots. There was a moment that a seed was planted in you (first appointment) and began to germinate. But, because we don’t see a shoot or sprout quickly, (according to our time frame) doubt enters in causing us to take an analytical approach to a spiritual matter. The focus shifts to analyzing or weighing out what we perceive instead of tending the ground (issues in our lives)where the seed was sown. This is why so many destinies are never fulfilled; they dig up the seed instead of tending it.

The bamboo seed is a remarkable example of this process, as it spends five years underground before shoots emerge. Then, in six weeks, these shoots can grow up to 90 feet!

We see three things here:

1) During those first five years, it might seem as though nothing is happening at all. But underneath in the soil, roots are growing and forming a strong foundation.

2) A suddenly takes place and the bamboo plant flourishes. To the natural eye it seemed like a suddenly, “Bam there it is! Look at it go!” The natural eye could not see the process taking place in the soil.

3) 90 feet is a High calling.

Apostolic ministry is grown in the spirit realm; we don’t necessarily see or understand the growth process. (1 Cor 2:9) In the beginning, we labor plowing new fields. Then, something (something is according to what seed you allow in) begins to take root and becomes firmly grounded (Eph 3: 16-19). Then like the bamboo seed, a suddenly takes place. (Acts 2: 1-4) The Holy Spirit comes on the scene, (Luke 4:18-19, John 14:12) moves through you, and with boldness, you accomplish that unto which you were called. (2 Thes 1:11-12)

Let’s get back to “there was a moment”. Transformation begins with a moment; transformation doesn’t happen in a moment. (Romans 12:2, 2 Cor 3:18) As we begin to learn to walk by the spirit we realize that our lives are ordained moments. In order for these moments to matter they must become movements; moments can be remembered, but movements can be measured.

I encourage you to take the time to inspect the ground and seeds at this time. Ask God what and how to deal with anything that will hinder you from moving forward in His purpose for your life. Remember any weed not dug up will eventually resurface and if unattended it will choke the life out.
