The final stage of gold production -- refining -- involves removing impurities that remain after the smelting process. Refining companies receive doré bars, as well as scrap gold, and reliquefy the metal in a furnace. Workers add borax and soda ash to the molten metal, which separates the pure gold from other precious and less precious metals. A sample is then taken to a lab for tests, or assays, that measure the gold content. In most cases, the gold is 99.9 percent pure. Workers cast the gold produced during refining into bars.
What happens next depends on how the gold will be used.
Note the process:
-The pure gold is separated from other precious metals - "For many are called, but few are chosen"
-Then taken to the lab for test - " He hath tried (test metal) me, I shall come forth as GOLD." (Job 23:10)
-99.9% pure - This speaks of us being transformed to the image of Christ, with 100% being God
-Workers cast the gold into bars - workers are not only teachers, pastors etc... they also are know as thorns in our sides. But we are confident in Him, whom we have put our trust, knowing all things work for the good of those who love God and are called for his purpose.
-Bars - vessels, pots, sons of God " for the Masters use'
-How the gold will be used - according to the degree of your calling or purpose " where much is given much is required" ( the part that is given is something to think about)
Will you step into the fire with confidence, keeping your eyes on the end (purpose, will of the Father, goal, prize) ?
In Matt. 2 we saw the wise men came into the presence of the King with gold, frankincense and myrrh. When we look into the realm of the spirit we understand that gold is not monetary but it is your heart.
Matt 12:35 " a good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things"
Matt 6:19-21 "for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also"
2 Corth. 4:7 " we have this treasure in earthen vessels"
Zec. 13:9 "and test them as gold" What is cool is next "They will call on my name and I will answer them"
Mal 3:3 " He will sit as the refiner and a purifier of silver, He will purify the sons of Levi (priesthood) And purge them as gold and silver That they may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness - (We see once again a offering / treasure, gold, heart)
Proverbs 17:3 "The furnace is for gold, But the Lord tests the hearts.
Hag 2:8 "fill the temple with glory" " the gold is mine" Your heart is His... How will you present it to him? Refined as gold?
Are you willing to bring him the gold, pay the price of an open heart that has been totally transformed into the image of Christ?
Count the Cost and let your yes be yes, and taste to see He is good! Becoming a son will cost you something, but the privileges far out weigh the cost.
There is so much more to this and we will continue to get the depth of what God is saying, as we will be firmly grounded and rooted in Him.
Can't wait for the frankincense and myrrh!!!
